Every paid plan is Codaptable Unlimited: as many chat sessions as you like and more practice time, within fair use. Prices are in US dollars, and you'll see the price before you pay. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Canceling takes two taps in the app's Account screen, and you keep access to the end of what you've paid for. While a plan is paused, you aren't charged and your account is on the free plan.
What the free plan is for
Three chat sessions is enough to find out whether this works for you. Pick a scene that's close to a real one, say the thing you'd normally say, and see what the Mediator does with it. If you get to the end of the third session and you're already rehearsing a different answer for the next real conversation, that's the signal. If you're not, nothing was charged and your account simply stays on the free plan.
Which paid plan makes sense
Weekly is for a specific conversation that's coming up. A difficult visit, a review, a decision you've been putting off. Practice for a week or two, then pause or cancel. Monthly is the plan most people land on: long enough to work through a pattern rather than a single scene, and it pauses when life gets quiet. Yearly is for people who know this is a long project, the kind that comes back every holiday and every phone call. Lifetime is one payment and nothing to think about again.
Every paid plan is the same product, Codaptable Unlimited. The price is the only difference, so there's no feature you're missing by choosing a shorter one.
Pausing, in plain terms
Pausing is for the weeks you don't need it. On a weekly or monthly plan, open Account in the app, choose Pause, and pick how long. The pause begins when the period you've already paid for runs out, so you never lose time you paid for. While it's paused you aren't charged and your account is on the free plan. When the pause ends, billing picks up where it left off. Resume early and a new period starts that day. If you cancel while paused, the subscription ends right then.
Fair use
Unlimited means as many chat sessions as you like. Practice time, the part where the two characters act out a scene with you, has a monthly ceiling so that one person can't run the service all day and raise the cost for everyone. Almost nobody reaches it. If you do, the app tells you, and it resets at the start of the next month. The terms describe it.
Questions people ask before paying
- Do I have to enter a card to try it?
- No. The free plan needs an account and nothing else. You'll only see a payment form when you choose a paid plan.
- Is the price the same in the app stores?
- Plans bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play are billed by Apple or Google under their own terms, and refund requests for those go to them. On the web, payments are processed by Stripe and subscriptions are managed through RevenueCat. The price you'll pay is always shown before you confirm.
- How do I cancel?
- From the app's Account screen, in two taps. If you subscribed through Apple or Google, cancel in your App Store or Google Play settings. Your access continues until the end of what you've paid for.
- What happens to my conversations if I stop paying?
- Your account stays, on the free plan. Deleting your account is a separate choice you make from inside the app, and it stops a web subscription from renewing at the same time.
- Does the paid plan change how Codaptable talks to me?
- No. The Mediator, the Coperson and the distress check-ins are the same on every plan. Paying buys more time with them, not a different version of them.
- Is there a discount for students or nonprofits?
- Not as a published rate. Write to support and tell us your situation; a person reads every message.
